The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is required by most colleges for undergraduate admission. The College Board administers it. SAT scores play a decisive role assessment of a student’s candidature for admission, scholarships and financial aids.

CHANGES IN SAT - THE NEW SAT 2005
|
|
There is a change in pattern in the SAT, the test required for admission to undergraduate (Bachelor degree) programs in US universities.Some changes in the new patterns are:

A student-written essay.
|
|
Analogies eliminated .
|
|
Shorter reading passages added.
|
|
New content from third-year college preparatory math .
|
|
Quantitative Comparisons eliminated.
|

SAT II:-
|
Subject tests measure knowledge and skills in particular subject and the ability to apply that knowledge. The content of these reflect the general trends in high school curriculum. A very few institutions require candidates to sit for Sat II. All subject tests are one-hour, multiple choice tests expect the Writing test, which has 40 minutes of multiple choice questions and 20 minutes writing sample section. Student use the subject tests to demonstrate their proficiency for different college programs of study.

Maths (Math Level IC, Math Level II C).

Science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology(ecological/molecular).

Language Subject Tests (reading only) (French, German, Latin, Modern Hebrew, Italian, Spanish).

Language subject tests with listening, including ELPT (English Language Proficiency Test) ( Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish).

To register for GRE / GMAT / New SAT / TOEFL (CBT/iBT) you need to complete a registration form. There are 2 ways in which this could be done :Online / Phone Registration : To register by Online / Phone you will need a valid International credit card : VISA, Master Card or American Express.For Online registration visit the website www.ets.org / collegeboard.com.
